Insanity Workout Reviews

The Insanity Workout seems to be getting more and more popular with the word of mouth spread.

I have read tons of reviews and seen a lot of websites that talk about the insanity workout. Shaun T uses a technique called Max interval training. Basically he has you workout at 110% for a period of time and then do an extremely short break before you jump right into the workout routine again, but this time do it faster.

Workout

This method is proving to extremely effective and popular. It is interesting to note that at this point 64% of people think Insanity is a better workout then the ever popular P90X workout. That figure is due to change and I encourage you to vote as well.

Insanity Workout Reviews

I think it is going to be interesting to watch and see how this new workout does when all the hype tones down. So far I believe it has exceeded the expectations of most that really care.

The workout is 60 days long, and the first half is easier then the second half. The workouts start out at about 40 minutes long on average and in the second month increase to an hour long each day. And with the difficulty of the first 30 days the second 30 days should prove to be a real challenge for those willing to give it a shot.

Shaun T's Max Interval training takes you through a series of workouts, then he repeats these workouts, but at a faster pace then before. Then once again you must repeat it a third time, but even faster. This makes the workouts easier to follow along with and is extremely effective... and difficult.

Some of the most difficult aspects of the insanity workout is the level 1 and level 2 drills. These are a lot of up and down movements with push ups, jumps and they are very difficult to do.

Many people are calling Insanity the P90X of cardio, but I think it is much more then that. It is a full body workout and is pretty difficult to do.

Best Lower Ab Workout - How to Blast the Lower Abs

Finding the best lower ab workout is not always an easy thing to do. It can be frustrating to keep trying to work the lower abs if you feel like you are not doing it right.

In this article, you will learn what it takes to have the best lower ab workout around.

Workout

Before we get into 3 exercises, it is important that you understand some basics about training the lower abs.

Best Lower Ab Workout - How to Blast the Lower Abs

The first thing that you should understand is that just working the lower abs will not result in losing fat in that area. In order to lose fat in that area, you need to lose fat all over your body. This is how basic fat loss works. If you have a lot of fat to lose, then the best lower ab workout in the world won't do the trick all by itself. The same goes for someone who just has to lose the last few pounds.

The good news is that doing a great ab workout safely and effectively will help to strengthen your core, as well as tone those muscles up for when you are in the single digits with body fat percentage =)

Losing fat all over your body requires that you do the right combination of strength training (don't worry you will not get big and bulky), a special type of cardio called interval training, and most important, have a great diet.

Once you have those things under control, your fat loss efforts will be guaranteed.

But you came to this page looking for the best lower ab workout around, so here are a few exercises you can try right now.

Remember that training your abs is different than training other muscles. If you were working your biceps, you might try doing 3 sets of 10 reps for a few different exercises. For your lower abs, you will want to do a special sequence of exercises with little rest in between. This is called abdominal circuit training.

Here are some of the best lower ab exercises to try:

1. Alternating Supine Leg Walks

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical. Contract your abs so your midsection is tense.

Then, lower 1 leg so your foot is a few inches from the ground. Hold there for about 1 second, then return that leg to the starting position. Alternate which leg you lower.

Try a reps and really try to feel the lower abs working.

2. Supine Reverse Crunches

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical, then bend your knees at a 90 degree angle. Contract your abs so your midsection is tense.

Keeping your knees bent at the same angle, slowly lower them until the back of your feet are a few inches above the ground. Then, bring your knees up towards your chest and really squeeze your abs while doing this.

Repeat.

3. Leg Lifts

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical.

Contract your midsection by engaging the upper abs.

Then, lower both legs so that the back of your feet are right above the ground. After holding that position for a few second, return your legs to the vertical position.

Repeat.

All three of those exercises are part of getting the best ab workout possible. If you have any lower back problems at all, you should not hesitate to see a doctor for exercise advice. Now you know the basic components of having one of the best lower ab workouts. Remember your safety comes first!

Good luck, and remember to keep learning and stay persistent. =)

A Running Stairs Cardio Workout That Gets You Lean Quickly

Have you ever seen Rocky 4? This was the one where Rocky went to the Soviet Union to fight the massive Russian fighter. Rocky trained in the wilderness, jogging through the snow, cut wood to workout, ran up hills, etc. His Russian opponent took the opposite approach and trained indoors with nothing but state of the art machines. Well, it is obvious that Rocky's "old school" workouts made him tougher and in the end he beats this massive Russian fighter. That is exactly how I view running stairs vs cardio machines. Running stairs in the end will beat cardio machines in burning off stubborn body fat efficiently.

Get Outside...Run Stairs...Burn Fat Quickly...Ask Questions Later!

Workout

Running Stairs is tough! People rarely volunteer to run stairs. Normally the only people you see running stairs are elite athletes under the close watch of a coach. If the coach wasn't there to push them, they would probably chose to do something easier. This type of cardio workout is hard in the exact way it needs to be to increase HGH. HGH increases when you alternate intense efforts for 30-60 seconds followed by 30-60 seconds of less intense effort. This is called interval training, and running stairs may just be one of the best forms of interval training.

A Running Stairs Cardio Workout That Gets You Lean Quickly

Signs That Your Cardio Workout Will Result In An HGH Increase

Here are a few things to strive for in your cardio workout if you want to maximize HGH and its maximum fat burning effects:

1) Your skin should feel hot

2) You should be short of breath

3) You should be sweating

4) Your face should look a bit flushed

5) Your heart rate should be higher than normal even after the workout is done

6) You should accomplish all of this on an empty stomach

Running stairs will accomplish all of this more efficiently than any workout on cardio machines.

A Simple 15 minute "Running Stairs Cardio Workout"

Find a flight of stairs that has at least 20-30 stairs (a track with stadium seating at a high school or local college is ideal). Walk up the stairs to the top and then down the stairs to the bottom 3-5 times. After this warm-up you will begin the workout.

1) Sprint from the bottom of the stairs to the top as fast as possible

2) Jog down to the bottom

3) Repeat for 15 minutes

I know this sounds way too simple! You can make it more difficult by choosing longer flights of stairs. You can jog a couple of miles before or after running stairs. The key to whole workout is that is you hit the stairs hard, your body will release HGH and help you get lean quickly. Obviously you will get better results if you eat a low calorie diet.

Taylor Lautner's Workout Routine As Jacob Black in New Moon

Before Describing Taylor Lautner's Workout, Here is a Quick Bio...

Taylor Lautner was born on February 12, 1992. So was 17 at the time Twilight New Moon was filmed. From the age of 6 to 13 was accomplished in martial arts. At the age of 12 he won the Junior World Championships as a black belt in karate. Lautner began his acting career in 2001, and by 2008 played Jacob Black the native american character in Twilight.

Workout

The Director Considered Casting Someone Else to Play Jacob Black in New Moon

Taylor Lautner's Workout Routine As Jacob Black in New Moon

The Director of New Moon, Catherine Hardwicke, considered casting someone else to replace Taylor Lautner. She wanted someone with more muscle and more believable to play Jacob Black. You see, Jacob turns into a werewolf in this movie and she wanted someone with a stronger physical presence than Taylor Lautner.

Taylor Had to Gain Muscle Quickly or Possibly Lose His Role in New Moon

Luckily Taylor had the strong martial arts background which aided him in getting this ripped look. If this was just a 17 year-old with a less athletic background, there is no way he would have been able to display the same degree of muscle tone in such a short period of time.

The Secret to Jacob Black's Six Pack Abs

Taylor Lautner's abs were not just a result of the 9 months of training leading up to the shooting of New Moon. His years of martial arts training created muscle density and muscle maturity normally not seen until someone reaches their mid-20's. People who compete in martial arts derive power from tightening their core...this tightening over time builds hard and defined muscles in the abs. The way to reveal the abs is dieitng down to a low body fat percentage, but the reason Taylor Lautner had an excpetional six pack was due to his martial arts experience.

The Gaining Muscle Part for Taylor Was Easy

Taylor quickly put on 20 pounds of mass due to his age. The thing that fitness magazines never tell you is that you are easily able to gain mass when you first workout. The amount of muscle Taylor put on his body was the natural amount of muscle he was suppose to have. He isn't big by any stretch of the imagination, which is good. Like just about any young guy I've worked with, Taylor was able to quickly fill in and get close to his genetic potential quickly. He did it in 9 months, since he had so much time he could devote to this...this typically takes 12-24 months for most guys.

When Interviewed About How He Got in Shape for New Moon...

If you see any of Taylor Lautner's interviews, you will notice he is pretty vague about his workouts...he says things like "I worked out a lot and ate a lot". Honestly, this is all it takes for a young guy in his late teens to early 20's to gain those 15-25 pounds. The trick is to then get lean and ripped. This is where I come in and help men and women get that lean "Hollywood" look...

Skinny Guy Workout - Workout Plan For Skinny Guys to Build Insane Muscle Mass

If you're a skinny guy and are looking to pack on some pounds of rock hard muscle mass, then you're going to need a good skinny guy workout plan, and stick to it.

Why "Skinny Genes" Are Your Best Friend

Workout

If you're anything like me, then you've probably cursed your "skinny genes" on more than one occasion - especially if you listen to any of the usual rubbish that is spouted in most gyms about "skinny genes" being your obstacle to muscle gain.

Skinny Guy Workout - Workout Plan For Skinny Guys to Build Insane Muscle Mass

Well, that's really a load you know what. While genes do play a part in natural body type, size and propensity to build muscle, they should not stand in your way to gaining muscle mass. In fact, I discovered that they can even be your friend.

How?

Well, the advantage of being a skinny guy is that it only takes a small increase of muscle mass to look really impressive, since our body fat percentage is usually low by nature. This means that it is very easy for us to get ripped, and get the admiring looks on the beach and in the gym. This alone will give you the confidence and motivation to continue to make gains with your skinny guy workout plan.

In a good skinny guy workout plan, there are 3 major things that you must perform and make part of your routine. These are:

Skinny Guy Workout Part 1 - Eat BIG

Skinny guys and hardgainers struggle to gain mass in their workouts usually because they don't eat enough, or they eat at the wrong times.

According to most nutritionists the average male should consume around 2,000-2,500 calories per day to stay healthy. However, this is simply not enough for a skinny guy workout.

Most bodybuilding experts recommend a daily intake of around 3,500 calories for the skinny guy hardgainer in order to create significant muscle mass gains.

Split over 6 meals per day an example skinny guy workout diet plan would be as follows:

Breakfast: 100gms of Oats, 2 whole eggs, 1 banana, 1 slice of wholemeal toast

Mid-morning snack: 1 protein shake (30gms), 1 orange

Lunch: 100gms of meat, poultry or fish, 200 gms of boiled potatoes (preferably white potatoes), 100 gms of fresh vegetables.

Mid Afternoon snack: 1 protein shake (30gms)

Dinner: 225 gms of meat, poultry or fish, 200 gms of boiled potatoes, 100 gms of fresh vegetables

Before Bed: 1 protein shake (30gms)

Skinny Guy Workout Part 2 - Weight Train

Weight training is the second integral part of a skinny guy workout plan. Without it, you can forget gaining any muscle mass.

The secret to a weight training for skinny guys and hardgainers is to focus on 3 all-body workouts per week, for 45minutes-1 hour at a time and make sure you keep the intensity up throughout.

The best way to train in a skinny guy workout is a system known as high-intensity low-volume training - whereby you lift heavy loads for small numbers of repetitions, rather than light loads and many reps.

Use the following skinny workout routine 3 times per week (never train two days in a row):

Squats 1-3 sets of 8-12 reps

Bench Press 1-3 sets of 8-12 reps

Bent Over Rows 1-3 sets of 8-12 reps

Bicep Curls 1-3 sets of 8-12 reps

Lying Tricep Extensions 1-3 sets of 8-12 reps

Calf Raise 1-3 sets of 8-12 reps

Skinny Guy Workout Part 3 - Sleep Well

The most underrated aspect of any skinny guy workout - sleep and rest. Without you're simply depriving your body of the time to repair itself.

Remember:

Muscles are made in bed, not in the gym

When we reach a state of deep sleep (after REM stage) our bodies produce a natural growth hormone (GH) which is anabolic in nature (i.e. it helps to build muscle, repair tissue, increase bone density, and improve our immune system). While it is often secreted throughout the day, the largest and most effective secretion happens about an hour after the onset of sleep.

In short, getting a good 8 hours of quality sleep per night is essential for skinny guys to maximize their efforts in the gym and in the kitchen, and should be an essential part of your skinny guy workout.

Avoid caffeine and exercise before bed, and drink a natural herbal tea to relax like chamomile. Some people eat bananas before bed to help aid their sleep. Do whatever works for you.

The Best Soccer Fitness Workout

Fitness is especially important for soccer players, as they will be called on in a match to run for up to 90 minutes, with no stoppage in time and only sporadic stoppage of action. When preparing for the upcoming soccer season, it is best to play the beautiful game of soccer as a way to get more fit, as there is no substitute for the game. Even small-sided games for 15, 20 and 30 minute intervals will help increase fitness and endurance.

As a separate workout away from the game, It is best for soccer players to alternate sprinting, distance and interval running during a fitness workout. With each workout, players should gradually increase repetitions and improve times.

Fitness

Here are the best drills for a soccer fitness workout:

The Best Soccer Fitness Workout

300's: On a soccer field, start out on the end line and sprint to mid-field up and back 6 times (50 yards x 6 = 300). High school players should try to run these in less than 70 seconds. After each 300, rest for two minutes and then repeat.

Hills: Find a steady incline hill (no "baby" hills)  Sprint up the hill and jog down. The jogging is recovery time, so this can be done slowly. Once players reach the bottom, the should turn around and sprint up the hill again. After five (5) hills, then take a two minutes rest and do five (5) more.

Cones: These are sprints. Place cones about five (5) yards apart for 25 yards.  Players should spring to the first cone and then back, then to the second cone and then back, and so on.  Five cones up and back is one repetition. Do ten (10) reps and then a one (1) minute rest. Then ten (10) more.

Challenged yet? We're just getting started...

30-30's: This is interval training.  Players should begin by jogging for a few minutes and then the fun begins. Next is to alternate 30 seconds of jogging with 30 seconds of sprinting.  Do a set of five (5) 30-30's, then rest two (2) minutes and then five (5) more.

120's: This is a full sprint of the length of the soccer field. High school players should try to do this in less than 20 seconds. After reaching the opposite end line, players should jog back, allowing 60 seconds to recover. Do 7-10 of these.

Cooling down and stretching: Players should always take fifteen to twenty minutes to cool down and stretch to conclude fitness training.

Fitness - Ab Workout

Most fitness experts agree that the tone of your ab muscles will make a difference in an otherwise impressive build. Ask anyone. there isn't anything like a stunning six-pack. Image the outlined arms, the turbulent chest, the etched legs, and then imagine a nice, obese pot belly pushing out like a growing mess of Pillsbury bread, making many hours of challenging work look like a misguided attempt.

Of course, a bloated beer stomach on an otherwise finely sculpted body fits in like a pig in a penthouse. While the abs are important to whether you're seen as being either 'fat' or 'fit', all of the fitness abdominal workouts known to man won't persist without the adjoining commitment to both exact diet and significant amounts of cardio action.

Fitness

In the meanwhile, here's a fitness ab workout to take the paste away from your waist:

Fitness - Ab Workout

* Fitness Ab Workout #1 The Crunches

* Lie on an exercise floor on the deck, flexing your knees just slightly so that your feet are placed on the floor flat. Bringing your hands in back of head, slowly rear your shoulders up off the floor, pressing your abdominal muscles on every rise. Be certain you don't force your neck upward; preferably making a typical, effortless, seamless motion.

* Elevate just the blades of your shoulders up from the exercise floor and maintain that positioning for two counts before slowly releasing your shoulders back down on the mat. Be particular to not let the shoulders altogether rest on the floor before commencing the next repetition. Do 3 sets of twenty repetitions, taking just a few seconds pause between sets of this fitness ab workout?

* Fitness Ab Workout #2 The Cable Crunches

* Start out with a double rope on the cable machine. Plant your feet on the floor, and grab hold of the ropes with two hands, locking them onto the side of the head. Slowly take your elbows down around your knees, and hold the muscular contraction for a three count. Rise slowly up to an attitude where the torso is parallel with the floor, then repeat the movement. Attempt three sets of 20-30 repetitions at an average weight for this fitness ab workout.

* Fitness Ab Workout #3 Knee Lifts

* Sit Down at the edge of an exercise bench, and grasp on the side of the bench, using both of the hands in order to keep even balance. Now, with your legs stretched outward, slowly draw your knees toward your chest, contracting the ab muscles during the compression. Obtain this attitude for two seconds then slowly extending your legs before replicating the motion. Try and keep the bouncing and springing to a minimum. Do at least three sets of 20 reps for this fitness ab workout.

Fitness Model Workout Principles

If you wish to become a fitness model you need to know how to workout in the right way. Fitness model workouts follow certain principles which you need to follow if you plan to ever have any success in this field. To be a sports model you need to have a perfect body. Having too much fat is destructive. However, having too much muscle is also forbidden since the bulky look is definitely not what magazines are looking for. It's just not considered that attractive.

So, you're looking for the lean, elongated, toned look, and not the bulky look. This is a huge mistake which many model wannabes make: becoming too bulky.

Fitness

In order to get that lean look your workouts need to be comprised of 3 parts:

Fitness Model Workout Principles

1. Cardio - I guess you already knew that, but the how is the important thing. Your cardio workouts need to be targeted to achieve the most fat loss. That's why the best cardio fitness workouts are interval workouts. You're going to be spending enough time at the gym already. Don't waste it on long cardio. Make your workouts short and intensive. This will cut the fat right off and leave you lean all over.

2. Resistance workouts - This is weight training and body weight training. You see I'm not mentioning machines here since they are a big no-no for fitness models. Weight training or body weight training is better than machines for a number of reasons: it gives better results, it is safer, and it is healthier. Again, you need to stand out of the crowd. Fitness model exercises are not done on machines if they can be done with free weights. Remember that.

3. Stretching - Most people don't do stretches but you need to. First of all, being flexible will allow you to compete better. Second, it helps you achieve that elongated look to your muscles. Third, it is very healthy and reduces the risk of injury. Don't neglect this part of the workout. It is crucial.

Now that you know the principles of a good fitness model workout, all you need to do is apply it.

Fitness - How to Workout at Work - 10 Tips

How do you find time for fitness during the work hours? Look for opportunities to workout at work by periodically exercising throughout your work day. Following are 10 tips for fitting in physical activity while on the job:

1. Walk or bike to work.

Fitness

If possible, make the most of your commute by walking or biking to work. If you ride the bus, get off a few blocks early and walk the rest of the way. If you must drive, park far away to get in a quick walk.

Fitness - How to Workout at Work - 10 Tips

2. Take the stairs.

If you have a meeting on another floor, get off the elevator a few floors early and use the stairs, or skip the elevator entirely. Use the restroom on another floor and take the stairs.

3. Schedule fitness breaks.

Take a short walk instead of hanging out in the lounge with coffee or a snack.

4. Start a lunchtime walking group.

Find some co-workers to walk with during lunch breaks. A regular exercise routine and the support of your co-workers may help you stick with the program.

5. Block off time on your calendar.

Schedule physical activity as you would any other appointment during the day. Don't change your exercise plans for every interruption that comes along. Remind yourself that physical activity is important, too.

6. Plan ahead for work travel.

Bring your jump rope or choose a hotel that has a fitness facility. While waiting for a plane, grab your bags and take a walk.

7. Sit on an exercise ball instead of a chair.

This will strengthen your abs and back. You'll work on your posture without even trying.

8. Set goals.

Use a pedometer to track the number of steps you take every day. Set new goals every week or so such as 5,000 steps then 6,000 steps, etc.

9. Use your headset.

Instead of sitting idle at a desk talking on the phone, walk and talk with a headset on.

10. Head to the mall for lunch.

Park far away and eat something healthy. After lunch, go for a quick walk around the mall.

Any movement is better than none, so be creative. By adding short bouts of exercise to your daily routine, you'll burn more calories and will reduce stress.

300 Workout for Women

Women need to strength train for fat loss. That's surprising. And women can also train hard. That's surprising to a lot of folks as well. Here are some cool workouts for women's weight loss.

Now just because the 300 workout was built for a guy's movie doesn't mean we can't modify a workout originally made to chisel male Greek Statue bodies into a workout that will turn the average gal into a fitness Goddess.

Workout

The original 300 workout is brutal, and there are two ways we can modify it. First, by using the same exercises and decreasing the reps. And second, by keeping the reps but reducing the intensity of the exercises.

Let's do option A first, doing a workout with mostly the same exercises but fewer reps. So this becomes a 125 rep workout. Its tough, and is really for advanced female fitness only. A more beginner exercise is below.

a) Pullups - 5 reps (if you can't do real pullups, use the assisted pullup machine or even pulldowns)

b) Deadlifts with 25lbs - 30 reps (in the original workouts, they used 135 pounds. We'll decrease the weight and use the EZ curl bar instead. Alternatively, you can do dumbbell squats with 15 pounds per hand).

c) Pushups - 20 reps (do a combination of regular and kneeling if necessary)

d) 12-inch Box jumps - 25 reps

e) Floor wipers - 20 reps (Use the EZ Curl Bar again, or a broomstick)

f) 1-arm Clean n Press with 10lbs Kettlebell - 20 reps total, not per arm

g) Pullups - 5 reps (same as above)

A woman with a moderate fitness level might try this 100 repetition workout (remember - minimize the rest between sets):

5 bodyweight rows

15 bodyweight squats

5 pushups

50 jumping jacks

10 mountain climbers

10 lunges

5 bodyweight rows

Those are some challenging workouts. Work with a trainer to come up with other ideas.

Just do this workout once as a test. You might try it every couple of months or so as a comparison, but don't train like this everyday.

And as always, train safe. If you aren't sure about the technique, your form, or don't feel comfortable with the workout, skip it!

Top 5 Pectoral Workout Exercises to Get That Chiseled Chest

You have to admit, the pecs are one of the most noticed sets of muscles on a male... and you know that women love to see a nice bulging chest. The only way you can get that however, is by having an effective pectoral workout. Having a strong chest is not only important for having a good looking body, but it's also important for your health and athletics. It's the one of the largest muscle groups on your body, and it is used on most of the activities you do that require your upper body. For example, when you swing a racket or throw a baseball.

If you want to build a nice strong chest, then here are 5 of my top exercises that are very effective and should be added to your pectoral workout:

Workout

Pectoral Workout Exercise #1: Decline Bench Press (Lower Pectoral Muscles)

a. Lie down on a decline bench. It should be angled from 30° to 45°. Make sure that you are comfortable with the angle.
b. Lift the bar off of its rack and hold it straight up over your chest.
c. Slowly lower the bar until it touches your chest, then hold it for a second, and then return it to its starting position.

Pectoral Workout Exercise #2: Incline Bench Press (Upper Pectoral Muscles)

a. Lie down on a decline bench. It should be angled from 30° to 45°.
b. Lift the bar off of the bench's rack, and keep it above your chest.
c. Lower the bar until it slightly touches your pectorals, and then lift it back up to its starting position.

Pectoral Workout Exercise #3: Standing Cable Cross-Overs (Inner Pectoral)

a. Stand in between the two cable handles.
b. With your palms facing towards the ground, grab the two handles.
c. While keeping your arms slightly locked, lower the both of the handles until they cross each other's paths.
d. Slowly bring the two handles back to their starting positions.

Pectoral Workout Exercise #4: Pec-Deck Flys (Greater and Lesser Pectoral Muscles)

Depending on the machine, the method may be a little different, but it they should all be very similar:

a. Sit on the machine, and make sure your whole upper body is being supported by the back rest. Make sure your hands are behind the pads, and then grasp the handles.
b. Now pull your arms together across the front of your body until they are touching.
c. Open your arms slowly at the same time. Stop when both of your arms are at the sides of your body.

Pectoral Workout Exercise #5:Flat-Bench Dumbbell Flys (Outer Pectorals)

a. Lie down on your back on a flat bench. Keep your feet on the ground, and hold a dumbbell in each hand. With your arms nearly straight, bring them directly over your shoulders.
b. Lower both of the dumbbells in a semi-circle type of movement. Be sure to bring them down on a straight path.
c. Keep on lowering the dumbbells until they are at your shoulder level. When you are at the shoulder level, life the weights back up the same way to your starting position.

Top 5 Pectoral Workout Exercises to Get That Chiseled Chest

These are the best 5 exercises that you can add to your pectoral workout for amazing results. The Right Rowing Machine Workout

Rowing is, arguably, the best workout you can give your body. Unlike other workouts, a rowing machine workout, which only works a certain body part or set of body parts at a time, rowing works out your whole body. Not only does it work your body's muscle groups, it also works your cardio-vascular system as well. Few other workouts, save swimming, are this inclusive. There are many benefits to adding rowing to your exercise routine.

Rowing helps you to work all of your major muscle groups. Each major action involved in rowing works a muscle group when doing a rowing machine workout. Your abdomen and upper legs are worked during the catch. Your arms, back, shoulders and abdomen are worked during the pull. Finally, during the release, you work your legs, your hips, your upper body and your back. Also, because the action of rowing is technically a single fluid movement, this workout is easy on the joints and shouldn't jar your knees or your elbows. This isn't the case in most other kinds of exercise. You will have to remember; however, to stay relaxed and not let your muscles tense or lock up during your rowing machine workout. It is also a good idea to start slowly. As you build up strength you can adjust the settings on the rowing machine, but you shouldn't ever try to overdo it. Rowing itself produces faster results than other exercise methods, so the need to push harder isn't as strong when you have a rowing machine workout.

Workout

Another benefit to adding a rowing machine workout to your workout routine is that rowing helps you lose weight. Okay, most exercise when done properly will burn off calories and help you lose weight, but it has been proven that rowing produces faster and more reliable results. A good rowing machine workout can burn between five hundred and eight hundred calories in an hour. Rowing will also help you to strengthen and tone your muscles. As you row, your muscle mass will increase. This is good because muscle mass burns calories much more efficiently than fat does. This means that as you increase your muscle mass you increase your body to lose weight naturally - which a rowing machine workout will help.

Finally, a rowing machine workout helps to strengthen your body's system. Rowing is an aerobic activity, and as such it works your cardiovascular system as well as your muscles. Rowing increases your heart rate which makes it stronger. A strong heart is less prone to disease if you include a rowing machine workout in your regimen. Rowing also helps to work out the lungs. The work out will naturally leave you a little bit breathless. As you continue to work out, you will increase your lung capacity and will be able to process oxygen much more efficiently.

Rowing really is one of the best work outs you can take part in. It is on par with swimming and the elliptical trainer in terms of overall effectiveness. Wouldn't you rather do an hour of a rowing machine workout than do an hour and a half on four different machines that might not give you the same results? Do yourself a favor and try out a rowing machine workout.

Weight Lifting Workout Program - Bulk and Strength 3 Day Split

Here is a basic, effective weight lifting workout program which will get you rolling in the iron game while efficiently gaining muscle and getting stronger. The program is split three ways with a day of rest in between each. After the last workout we allow a full 2 days of rest, both for recuperative purposes as well as convenience and practicality.

Each exercise in the weight lifting workout program will consist of doing 2 warm up sets with light weight, and then 2 working sets with relatively heavy weight, unless otherwise noted. Repetitions will try to be around 6-8.

Workout

Monday- We start out the weight lifting workout program training our Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps. For your chest you will ideally want to perform the bench press. After you perform your 2 warmups and then your 2 working sets, we'll move on to another chest exercise, the pectoral butterfly or "pec dec" machine, for another 2 warmups and 2 working sets. Shoulders are up next and we'll want to start out with seated or standing barbell shoulder presses. Next up comes more of an isolation exercise such as shoulder dumbbell laterals to be performed for slightly higher reps, say 8-10. Triceps are next and we will perform tricep pressdowns on a cable station for 2 warmups and 2 working sets. Since triceps have already been worked through both bench press and shoulder press, we will only do 2 sets of triceps then bring them out of the oven and we are through for day one of this weight lifting workout program.

Wednesday - This days weight lifting workout program will consist of a Leg workout. If you can perform squats safely and properly then that is the recommended exercise. If you are not use to squats you should use the leg press machine. Again, 2 warmups, 2 working. Next up are Leg Extensions performed on the leg exstension machine. After that we will hit the back of the legs - the hamstrings. Hammy's, like triceps, we are only going to work with one exercise and that is reverse leg extensions on a machine. This isolates the hams well and you'll feel the burn in the back of your leg. Repetitions will fall slightly higher in the 10-12 range. Next we will move on to a calf machine and perform 2 sets with higher repetitions of 12-20, and that will complet Wednesdays weight lifting workout program.

Friday- For this weight lifting workout program day we are training back and biceps. For back we will peform either barbell rows, or if your gym has a good hammer machine row that is acceptable as well. Repetitions for our 2 working sets fall within the 6-8 range. Next for back we perform "Lat pulldowns" on the lat pulldown cable machine. Repetitions rise to the 8-10 range for lat pulldowns. Next up is Biceps and these can be trained with standing bicep dumbell curl exercise. Then we can do one set of seated concentration curls. Since the biceps will already have been worked from the back exercises, we need only do one concetration curl set (one set per arm), and we've wrapped up Fridays weight lifting workout program.

Saturday and Sunday we take off, and then Monday we hit it strong again with the chest, shoulder, tricep workout.

This essentially is an exercise outline for a basic and very effective weight lifting workout program. It allows one major lift to be performed, followed by a more minor isolation movement to be performed. The sets are low as to avoid overtraining while allowing the body to recover and hence muscle growth to occur. You can further tweak or tailor this weight lifting workout program to your own liking based on the effectiveness of the given exercises, as well as personal preference towards certain exercise you feel may feel more comfortable performing.

The 15 Minute Workout For Women at Home

It's 100% true! It is entirely possible to acquire an excellent workout without ever setting foot in a gym or spending money on expensive, bulky home workout equipment. You do not need elaborate equipment, the money for an expensive gym membership, or extra time to drive to and from a work out center.

You can achieve excellent fat burning results, increased aerobic benefits and fantastic body toning by utilizing exercises that burn fat and produce dramatic results. Contrary to the information presented in the media, you can also do your workout at home with no equipment required.

Workout

Maintaining a successful workout can often be difficult. However, the fact remains that to reap all of the health and aesthetics benefits that working out consistently will provide, it is essential to allow nothing to interfere with your progress. Major factors that contribute to not working out consistently are:

o Perceived lack of time
o Lack of money
o Lack of knowledge

With the workout for women at home, those three obstacles will no longer be an issue. Knowing which exercises to choose, how to most effectively complete them in the least amount of time and having the option of doing the exercises at home without expensive equipment or a gym membership will facilitate consistency as you begin your at home workout.

Before we get to the sample 15 minute workout, we must first go over some very important, but simple workout tips.

Choose These Exercises

The following exercises are excellent for maximizing the potential of burning fat, sculpting lean muscle, and increasing stamina. Exercises that utilize the greatest number of muscles and allow for a full range of motion will optimize your exercise efforts. The following exercises are the most powerful choices for increasing the fat burning, body sculpting benefits and decreasing the time necessary for an effective workout.

o Lunges and all variations
o Inverted rows
o Squats
o Squat Thrusts
o Push-ups and all variations
o Chin-ups, assisted chin-ups, and all variations
o Burpees
o Planks, side plank
o Mountain climbers

Choose This Format

o Never sit down. Always remain standing as this will allow you to burn more calories than sitting, and every bit helps if you want to get more results in less time.

o Keep your rest periods to a minimum. When performing circuits, try to keep the rest between circuits at one to two minutes.

o Over time, make sure you attempt more challenging exercises. This is one of the best ways to keep getting more results in less time.

o Try using different training techniques: for some sets perform the repetitions as fast as possible while maintaining control and perfect form. Other times perform the repetitions very slow and controlled.

o Make sure you improve your performance consistently. This can be accomplished by either performing more repetitions for an exercise, using more advanced exercises, performing more circuits, or decreasing the rest periods between exercises and/or circuits.

Sample 15 Minute Home Workout for Women

-Jumping Jacks x 50
-Squats x 15
-Elevated Push-ups x 12
-Beginner Inverted Row x 12
-Crossover Lunge x 10 each leg
-Plank x 30 seconds
-Squat Thrusts x 10

Perform that circuit one exercise right after the other for 15 minutes straight. Rest only as needed and try to complete as many circuits as possible in that 15 minute period.

Remember, you can also perform some repetitions fast, and other times perform them very slow to allow for variety and a different training effect.

Also, the next time you repeat that workout, make sure you improve your performance by using one of the previously mentioned methods.

That sample 15 minute workout will allow you to burn more body fat and sculpt lean, sexy muscle much more effectively than traditional gym workouts that take 30 minutes or more to complete!

If you truly want more results in less time while saving money, then home workouts are definitely the solution you have been looking for.

Arm Exercises For Men - Killer Arm Workout For Men For Explosive Growth!

Arm exercises for men are some of the most important exercises that we do. While lots of people try to sell you the latest powders or shakes to add protein, they ignore the fact that good, quality exercise makes the difference between being ripped and not being ripped. Workouts for your arms are probably more important than other exercises because women say they instantly notice your arms when they see a man. If you have big arms then you are immediately deemed more powerful, attractive and you'll feel a lot better about your physique. I want to share with you the best biceps, triceps and forearm super-set arm exercises for men so that you can get bigger arm muscles as fast as possible...

First I'm going to explain some exercise theory that I learned when I was starting out. This stuff has helped me go from super-weedy to super-ripped. I mentioned super-sets. They are sets where you work all the muscles in a muscle group after each other. This actually helps you to gain 30% more muscle than if you didn't do them. 30% is a lot in the long term. After a month or two you begin to see how beneficial super-sets can be. Arm exercises for men are very important here because we want bigger arms. Women, on the other hand, should probably stay away from super-sets!

\"exercises Workout\"

Arm Exercises For Men - The Muscles We Target

There are three main arm muscles that we're targeting when we do arm workouts. These are forearms, triceps and biceps. The best way to see any real gains is to do a super-set on each of these arm muscles. Therefore, our arm workout needs to be focused on the best super-set routines.

Arm Exercises For Men - Forearm Super-Set

The forearm is often ignored by guys who want to get bigger arms. But when you have big forearms you don't get the case of having big upper arms and weedy lower arms. These forearm super-sets shouldn't be ignored.

Forearm Workout Exercise 1: Seated Dumbbell Wrist Curl

For this exercise, sit on a workout bench and lean forward and put your arm flat on the bench between your legs. Your wrist and hand should be hanging over the side of the bench. Now you should take a dumbbell and curl your wrist. So you go all the way back back and all the way towards you (with your palm facing up). Aim to do 15-20 reps at high weight. Remember to use your weaker hand first, then match the reps and weight with your stronger hand. Move immediately onto this:

Forearm Workout Exercise 2: Seated Barbell Reverse Curl

This time kneel on the floor and put your forearms on the bench. Your palms face down and your wrists and hands are over the edge of the bench. Grip the barbell and allow your hands to drop, then raise them as far back as you can. That's one rep. Again do 15-20 at heavy weight.

You should do two sets of this forearm workout. (Remember: The arm exercises for men that I'm revealing cause muscle growth. If you're female then use light weights!)

Arm Exercises For Men - Triceps Super-Set

Lots of guys believe that biceps are what make your arms look big. In fact, 66% of what makes your arms look muscular is triceps. Here's the best triceps super-set that you can do for fast, explosive muscle growth...

Triceps Workout Exercise 1: Close Grip Bench Press:

First, lie on your back with your head underneath bar, eyes aligned with bar and feet flat on the floor. Then position hands on bar together in the centre of the bar so that hands are touching (this is different from a normal bench press if that's what you're thinking - we're targeting the triceps muscles!) To start, lift the bar off the rack with the bar directly over head. Lower the bar to your mid chest area. Press the bar up to start position. Remember: Don't do this exercise using your normal bench-press weight. This is a triceps exercise and the weight you use should be significantly lower. However, it should still be hard to do 2 sets of 15 reps! If you can, use a spotter!

This is one of the best arm exercises for men in my opinion. It's my favorite triceps exercise ever because it works very well!

Triceps Workout Exercise 2: Reverse Grip Press down:

First, secure a door strap overhead at top of door. (This is on the exercise machines where you can adjust the height - you want this at the very top.) Now, stand approximately 2-3 feet away from the attachment point with your feet shoulder width apart and your knees slightly bent.

To start the exercise, grasp the handles with your palms facing down. Lower the handles to chest level so that elbows are bent at 90°. Then, keeping your shoulders stabilized and elbows close to sides, extend your arm and lower bar to hip level. Repeat! This is two sets of 15 reps.

Arm Exercises For Men - Biceps Super-Set

Whenever you think about arm exercises for men you think of the classic biceps curl... That is included in this super-set. Here it is in full:

Biceps Workout Exercise 1: Supinated Incline Bicep Curls

Start by lying on an incline bench with your arms at your side holding dumbbells with palms facing downwards (you have to bend your wrist to achieve this). Then slowly curl the dumbbells up rotating your palms so that your palms are facing up at the top of the movement and your elbows at your side. Then return to the starting position and repeat for 15 repetitions.

Biceps Workout Exercise 2: Reverse Barbell Curl

Hold a barbell with an overhand grip and your palms facing your body. Then, keeping your elbows at your side curl the barbell up to chest level. Return to the starting position and repeat 15 times.

Arm Exercises For Men - Hints & Tips

When you do this routine, start with the forearms. Go from forearm workout exercise 1 to 2, then back to 1 and then 2. Then move on to the Triceps circuit, and follow the same format.

Remember that you should struggle to complete two sets of 15 reps. If you're not struggling speed up how long it takes and raise the weights. (Be very careful on the close grip bench press! Use a lesser weight so you don't hurt yourself unless you have a spotter.)
